Dr. India Chambers-Richardson is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a graduate of The Summit Country Day School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from DePauw University in Indiana. India was afforded the opportunity to embark on a teaching career through the nationally renowned program, Teach for America where she was placed in the Mississippi Delta region assigned to Coleman Middle School in Greenville Public School District. During her 11-year tenure, India served in the capacity of an 8th Grade Math and Algebra 1 teacher and eventually transitioned to the Middle School Math Content Specialist. Coupled with her professional triumphs, India was able to attain a Masters of Education in Elementary Education in 2018 and Educational Specialist in Administration and Supervision in 2020 from Delta State University in Mississippi. Recently, India graduated from the University of Dayton with an Educational Doctorate in Leadership for Organizations. Currently, she is employed as the Assistant Principal at Symmes Elementary located in Sycamore Community Schools district. Richardson is committed to focusing her efforts on growing the whole child and helping teachers and students reach their optimal potential. Tapping into untapped talents and narrowing the opportunity gap continue to be at the forefront of India’s educational mission where she is purposed to model uncommon success! Furthermore, she is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she has furthered her commitment to service, specifically in the educating and molding of young minds.
